THE WINE ROUTE OF AREZZO

This is the Strada del Vino Terre di Arezzo—the Wine Route of Arezzo—a trail that leads you through a land of deep winemaking tradition, enriched with natural, cultural, and historical treasures. More than a simple route through vineyards and wineries, it’s a complete wine tourism experience designed to celebrate wine production within its broader context.
Founded in 2001 and officially recognized by the Region of Tuscany, the Strada del Vino Terre di Arezzo association aims to promote this unique territory through its food and wine excellence. Let yourself be guided through a land that once enchanted the Etruscans and Romans, that preserves Romanesque churches and medieval castles, that inspired the masterpieces of Piero della Francesca and Luca Signorelli, and that once echoed with the music of Guido Monaco, the inventor of modern musical notation.
Along the approximately 200 kilometers of this Wine Route, you can explore the different wine denominations of the Arezzo area—from Chianti Colli Aretini DOCG to Cortona DOC, from Valdichiana DOC to Valdarno di Sopra DOC, not to mention a wide range of IGT wines. You’ll have the chance to taste outstanding wines, discover local craftsmanship, and enjoy high-quality gastronomic offerings.

The Association counts around 115 members, including wineries, agritourisms, producers, wine bars, restaurants, tourism operators, artisans, cultural organizations, the Province of Arezzo, and its municipalities—all ready to welcome you and share the magic of this land.
